How we handle your data on GetKickScore

Last updated: July 14, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how GetKickScore (getkickscore.com) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our football scores, fixtures, standings, stats, and news service for personal use.

Who we are

GetKickScore operates the website at getkickscore.com. We provide live and recent football scores, fixtures, standings, match details, and related news for personal, non-commercial use.

For privacy questions or requests, email getkickscore@gmail.com. You may also reach us on WhatsApp using the number listed in the Contact section below. Email is the preferred channel for privacy requests.

Information we collect

Usage and device data: When you visit GetKickScore, we and our service providers may collect information such as browser type, device type, operating system, approximate location derived from IP address, pages viewed, referral URLs, and similar technical logs.

Analytics: We use analytics and performance tools (including Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights) to understand how the site is used and how it performs. These tools may use cookies or similar technologies.

Favorites: If you save favorite teams or matches, that information is stored locally in your browser (for example local storage) and is not sent to our servers unless we add account features in the future.

Push notifications: If you opt in to goal alerts for a team or match, your browser creates a push subscription (endpoint URL and encryption keys). We store that subscription and your alert choices on our servers so we can send notifications. You can turn alerts off at any time from the same controls.

We do not require you to create an account to use GetKickScore today, and we do not ask you for a name, login password, or payment details for core browsing.

How we use information

To operate, maintain, secure, and improve GetKickScore.

To display live scores, fixtures, standings, news, and related content.

To measure site performance, diagnose errors, and understand aggregate traffic patterns.

To show advertising when advertising is enabled on the site, as described below.

To send web push notifications when you have opted in to goal alerts.

To respond to your questions or requests when you contact us.

Legal bases for processing

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another region with similar rules, we process personal data only where a legal basis applies. Depending on the activity, we may rely on:

Consent — for optional features such as push notifications, and for non-essential advertising or analytics cookies where consent is required by law.

Legitimate interests — to operate and secure the site, prevent abuse, perform basic analytics needed to keep the service reliable, and improve performance, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.

Legal obligation — where we must retain or disclose information to comply with applicable law.

Contract — only if we later offer accounts or paid features that require processing to provide what you request. We do not rely on this basis for ordinary browsing today.

This section describes how we generally approach those laws. It is not a claim of certified GDPR compliance.

Cookies and similar technologies

GetKickScore and our partners may use cookies, local storage, pixels, and similar technologies for site functionality (such as theme preference), favorites stored on your device, analytics, and advertising.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect features or how ads are delivered.

Advertising

GetKickScore may display advertisements to support the service. When advertising is enabled, Google AdSense and/or other advertising partners may use cookies, device identifiers, or similar technologies to deliver, personalize, and measure ads on this and other sites.

Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. You can learn more about how Google uses data for advertising at https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

You can manage Google ad settings (including interest-based advertising preferences) at https://adssettings.google.com/. You may also use industry tools such as https://www.aboutads.info/choices/ where available.

Other ad networks we use may collect or receive technical information from your browser or device according to their own policies. Advertising may be turned off in development or in certain configurations.

Service providers

We use third-party companies to help run GetKickScore. They process data according to their own policies and our instructions where applicable. Categories include:

Hosting and infrastructure providers (including Vercel for hosting and related delivery).

Analytics and performance monitoring providers (including Vercel analytics tools).

Database and backend infrastructure providers that store cached football data and push-subscription records.

Advertising partners (including Google when AdSense or similar Google ads products are enabled).

Sports data and news content providers that supply match information and headlines we display.

These providers may process technical data such as IP addresses and request logs when fulfilling requests on our behalf.

Third-party links and content

GetKickScore may link to, embed, or surface content from third-party websites, apps, or publishers (for example news articles or external references). Those third parties have their own privacy practices.

We are not responsible for the privacy, security, or content of third-party sites or services. You should review their policies before providing information to them.

Data retention

We retain information only as long as needed to operate the service, comply with law, resolve disputes, or as described below.

Push subscriptions and alert preferences: kept until you disable alerts or unsubscribe, or until the subscription becomes invalid.

Analytics data: retained according to our analytics providers’ settings and retention periods.

Server and security logs: kept for a limited period needed for security, debugging, and abuse prevention, then deleted or aggregated.

Advertising cookies and identifiers: controlled by advertising partners and subject to their retention and cookie lifetimes.

Cached match and competition data in our systems is refreshed on a schedule; older fixtures may be removed or replaced over time.

Security

We use industry-standard practices to protect information, including HTTPS encryption in transit, access controls on systems that hold operational data, and limiting access to people who need it to run the service.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted to or stored by GetKickScore or our providers.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding personal information we hold about you. These may include the right to:

Access the personal information we process about you.

Request correction of inaccurate personal information.

Request deletion of personal information, subject to legal exceptions.

Request restriction of certain processing.

Object to certain processing, including where we rely on legitimate interests.

Receive a portable copy of certain information, where applicable.

Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent (for example push alerts), without affecting prior processing that was lawful.

Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your country or region, where that right applies.

To exercise these rights, contact us at getkickscore@gmail.com (preferred) or via WhatsApp using the Contact details below. We may need to verify your request before responding. Some data (such as favorites stored only on your device) is controlled by you in your browser.

Those countries may have data-protection laws that differ from the laws in your home country.

Children's privacy

GetKickScore is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at getkickscore@gmail.com and we will take steps to delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of GetKickScore after changes means you accept the updated policy. Material changes may also be highlighted on the site when appropriate.

Governing law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the applicable laws relating to GetKickScore’s operations. Mandatory consumer or data-protection rights in your country of residence are not displaced by this statement where those rights cannot be waived.
